Fresh food, recorded as fast as it moves.

Record harvest lots, packing and shipments with their traceability lot codes, and keep the key data elements of each event with the lot.

What the sector has in common

Fresh food is packed and shipped within days, and the records have to keep up.

  • Short shelf life

Lots are packed and shipped soon after harvest. Registrations and deliveries are short forms a person approves.

  • Codes assigned along the way

A traceability lot code is assigned at packing or transformation, and must follow the food with where it was assigned.

  • Foods on the Food Traceability List

Many fresh fruits and vegetables are on the FDA's list, and their records must hold the key data elements of each event.

  • Records within 24 hours

The FDA can ask for the records within 24 hours, as a sortable spreadsheet. The FSMA 204 records report and the recall scope come from the same lineage, already on record.
